Damage Restoration
The use of the latest technological advancements allows us to properly dry your home or business quickly.
Water Damage is not solely the cause of natural disasters and in many cases can be avoided with simple precautions and regular maintenance.
Basement: Regularly check the sump pump to insure that in the event that it is needed it will work.
Laundry Room: Check the condensation pan drain line and change air filers in your A/C unit on a monthly basis.
Kitchen: Don't run your dishwasher when you are not home.
Bathrooms: Check the grout in tiled showers. Keep a plunger handy incase of overflowing toilets.
Outside: Keep gutters clean of debris, and make sure that your downspouts carry water at least 10 feet away from your house.
There are two phases we use to restore water damage in Washington DC, Mitigation and Reconstruction (remove and replace or repair). Mitigating a water loss costs a fraction of the cost of replacing expensive structural materials like carpet, walls, insulation, flooring, cabinets, etc.
A loss that is not mitigated quickly will result in a huge increase in the cost to restore the property to a pre-loss condition.
If not mitigated quickly and thoroughly, water losses will continue to get worse, a condition known as secondary damage. The most important secondary damage is mold growth with its attendant health hazards and increased liability for property owners. (For more information on mold growth see mold remediation)
Other secondary damage includes swelling of wood structural materials, warping and cupping of hardwood floors, damage to other materials and contents as they are continuously exposed to moisture.

While natural catastrophes can not be prevented, many sources of water intrusion can be stopped by taking a few precautions and preventative maintenance.
